This is an illustration I did for a contest held by Jillian Tamaki. The theme was summer myth. I decided to do the Trinidadian myth about Lajabless who was a beautiful woman that would lure men deep into the forest and then kill them. She was also said to be the wife of the devil, so that's why she has a cow leg.
These were my final character designs for 3rd semester, and this is the little story that I created for them: Madeline Simons wants to be a famous singer one day, but for now she just performs in little cafes and nightclubs. One day when Cecil Petit, a 6 year old boy, is walking home with his mother, he hears Madeline singing in a cafe. He runs to the cafe window and looks inside to see her and he instantly falls in love. His parents take him to her cafe performances often and every time he goes he brings a flower for Madeline. They soon become great friends.
final model sheets I also made a maquette of Madeline, but sadly I don't have any photos of the finished product.
OMG!!!! I'm finally done! I had started this last summer and I just never got around to finishing it till now. With this piece I wanted to try something a little different than what I normally do and I must say that I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
My family always asks me to make cards for them because they know that they'll get it for free and they know that they won't have to go all the way to Wal-Mart to pick one up. So, here are the two most recent ones I have done.
My grandma asked my to make this for one of our family members in Trinidad who is celebrating her 25th year of being a nun.
And this one my parents had asked me to do for my grandma's 80th birthday. I think I'll start charging soon :p
this was my final animation for the school year. it was a group project, so naturally i worked with adam. he animated murdoc and i animated russel (the fat one). and the line we used was from harry potter and the order of the phoenix.
this is work that i did for my class movie!!! it's basically about a monkey that gets flung around town! chaos naturally ensues. and there's a scientist too! i have no idea how this will turn out, but i really hope that it's good. so, 2 of my jobs for this movie were to design and create backgrounds and to animate.
this was my interpretation of the exterior of the lab and the town, but both of these were made 100 times better by the other layout artists. because of that i decided to take on all of the interior layouts for the lab. in total i had to do 43 backgrounds!! but most of them were just close ups of what i had already created.
this is a rotation of the room from the middle
and this is 1 of the 6 scenes that i animated. it lags a bit at the end, but hopefully you get the point. btw i didn't design or build the vulture. credit goes to chewy and barney.
